Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke will be giving up his office space. No he is not being let go, but he will be relocating to make space of the ambitious project LV is taking on. To turn their massive global HQ into a Louis Vuitton branded hotel. This will be the first for the LV brand. The hotel will also include the largest global storefront along with experimental art spaces. The Chairman and CEO revealed in a recent interview with WWD.
The building sits right in the center of Paris, an area that has been taken over by Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of the World's largest luxury conglomerate LVMH. The recent developments in the area include the renovation of La Samaritaine Department store and the cheval blanc hotel just a short distance from the Louis Vuitton's HQ and future hotel location.
The hotel is expected to be completed within the next five years. The area described by Burke as once being "no man's land," is now a must stop for anyone visiting Paris. The massive project is beginning this week and the fashion house will unveil its LV Dream experiential space. A new cultural and culinary destination celebrating 160 years of creative collaborations with artists.
