What is your earliest memory of art?
My earliest memory of art is making a painting of me and my dad in Kindergarten, and it got published in a children's magazine!
How did you get started?
I started making paintings when I was around 13, and I started making collages when I was 16. I started both because I love art history a lot, and modern culture is interesting and there is so many ways to tell a story.
How would you describe your art?
I would describe it as ... new, maybe? and also simple and refreshing.
Who are your favorite artists?
Some of my favorite artists are, Matisse, Bouguereau, Frida, Monet and more contemporary ones are Matthew Gaulke, Lucas David, Eloy Morales.
Why did you choose collages?
What I love about collages is that you can do so much so easily, it is a very simple process but it pushes you to think, I have to be very aware of the images I consume and try to remember what kind of paintings it would go with, I have to pay attention to detail, I chose this medium because it is easily creative and not so common.
