The King of Sneakers, Ronnie Fieg has been doing it for a long time. A prominent figure in the footwear industry, who has over twenty years of hands-on experience. Born and raised in Queens, Fieg has been involved with footwear since becoming a stock boy at New York-based franchise David Z. at age 12. It was his collaboration with Asics that brought him to the forefront of sneakerheads minds and collaborations followed with Nike, Timberland, Adidas and so many more. Now he runs KITH, the sportswear brand and apparel retail store he started in 2011, and he continues to collaborate and create the limited edition sneakers we all crave.

Ronnie Fieg started his career working as a stock boy and salesman, as he put it “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” While working at David Z he started bringing in athletic brands for the chain of stores. Asics offered Fieg the opportunity to design his own shoe. He asked to look at the old Asics catalog and one shoe stood out, the Gel Lyte III. He redesigned the shoe a three pairs were created called “The 252 Pack’ as only 252 of each were made. This launched Fieg’s career as a shoe designer and tastemaker.

After years of collaborating with brands like Adidas, Clarks, Converse, New Balance, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Nike and many more, Fieg decided to start his own apparel company, KITH. KITH operates on two planes - a multifunctional lifestyle brand for both men and women, and a progressive retail establishment. With four brick-and-mortar flagship stores designed in partnership with Snarkitecture, pushing the boundaries to deliver customers a completely unique experience. KITH offer an array of premium products, ranging from its own in-house label to a curated selection of multi-brand apparel and footwear. According to KITH, the brand was conceptualized as an extension of Ronnie Fieg himself, “Fieg seeks to shift the current landscape of fashion, while operating under a personal philosophy of giving the consumer more than what they pay for.”


KITH is now going into a new realm, the film business. In a joint venture with Nike, KITH has produced a film documenting the rise of Lebron James. The film “Long Live the King” examines the life of Lebron James with stories from those closest to him. This is a new area that Ronnie Fieg will undoubtedly do well.
