Miami continues to show signs of growth. That includes the music scene. Many musicians are making their mark in the city. We've compiled a list of what we consider to be the five best live music venues. With the diversity Miami has to offer, it's no wonder you'll find places to listen reggae, jazz, hip hop, blues, salsa and more.

North Beach Bandshell

Miami Beach 72nd & Collins

Built in 1961, the North Beach Bandshell is a seaside musical refuge, bringing local and established musical acts to Miami Beach. The shell served as a community center at it's inception and now has become one of the best places in South Florida to listen to live music while enjoying the ocean breeze.

Lagniappe House

Wynwood NE 2nd Ave & 34th St.

Cozy New Orleans-style wine bar with a shabby-chic decor supplying barbecue & live music nightly. The best of Miami's jazz musicians call this place home. From bands like Electric KIF to French Horn, you'll no doubt have yourself a great time.

Ball & Chain

Miami 8th Street

Ball & Chain bar and lounge and the building it occupies offers a history as colorful and as fascinating as any structure on this portion of Calle Ocho, an area increasingly considered to be the center of Little Havana.

Churchill's

Wynwood NW 2nd Ave & 25th St.

Since 1979, Churchills has grown to become a staple of the Miami Music Scene. Often referred to as the "CBGB of the South," Churchill's holds the world record for most acts within a single venue. Although considered an underground venue, Churchills is no stranger to famous musicians.
